International Search and Rescue Beacon Day

Yesterday, we celebrated #406Day, a day to recognise the power of 406 MHz emergency beacons in saving lives.

But why 406? 406 Day refers to the 406 MHz frequency of the Search and Rescue beacons used by the international rescue organisation COSPAS-SARSAT.
