Outer sleeve and spinning vinyl record. The B-52’s (self titled)

Outer sleeve and spinning vinyl record. The B-52’s (self titled)

Yet another fantastic debut from 1979 in #5albums70sFINAL 89/100. I ranked this one #5 in #5albums70s3 so you know I love it. They seemed to have actually come from another planet at the time. And the music was so fun! It still is. #johnsvinyl #nowplaying

Next up for 1977 in #5albums70sFINAL 54/100. #1 for me in #5albums70s3 & a very strong candidate for my final top 5. It’s gonna be tough with Hunky & Ziggy—these 3 are always vying for my top #Bowie rank & most attention. Anyway, #Low continues to enthrall me at every spin. #johnsvinyl #nowplaying

Kicking off 1972 for #5albums70sFINAL 23/100 with an automatic contender. It’s a top 3 #Bowie for me (w/ Hunky & Low); I ranked it 2/5 in #5albums70s3 (#1 was Low). It’s his best rocker and the directive “To be played at maximum volume” should be heeded! #johnsvinyl #nowplaying

I was about to say that this is nailed on for my 2nd place in #5albums70s4 but then, upon double checking, realised it was in the last round #5albums70s3 where I did still place it 2nd 🥴🤦🏻‍♂️ Perfect album for a sunny, springtime afternoon, none the less 🙌🏼

Goshdarnit, I forgot to vote in #5albums70s3. Still four of my five made top 20 so I doubt I’d have rocked the boat much.

Time for @5albums70s4 next…

Yay we got another 3 out of 5 #5albums70s3 through to the final, which was as much as we realistically hoped for.
Great to see 2 of our favourite Bowie albums at 1 and 2 and Ramones as high as 7.
Let's leave looking at #5albums70s4 contenders until we are ready.

David Bowie- Ziggy Stardust
Iggy Pop - Lust for Life
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run

Close but no cigar for Rolling Stones - Goats Head Soup & Japan - Quiet Life
