My 5 Book Challenge

For my final book, I'm going back to the very beginning:

"Kommisar Kugelblitz: Der Fall Koralle", by Ursel Scheffler.

I remember when I first checked this out at my grade school library. That's when I knew I had to keep reading whatever I like - and I still do so today. #5BookChallenge 💙📚

Book 4:

"The Jesus Video", by Andreas Eschbach.

A sub-genre of "realistic science fiction", which began a long streak of Eschbach books I read. A man finds a broken camcorder in a tomb, on which someone recorded footage of Jesus Christ. Is it real?

Not his best, but the first. #5BookChallenge 💙📚

Okay, the second one is - and I know I won't win any originality award:

"The Lord of the Rings", by J.R.R. Tolkien

After seeing three feature films, I just had to read it myself. It was the first, truly epic book I've ever read and it ignited my passion for the classics. #5BookChallenge 📚💙

"Masters of Doom", by David Kushner.

The story of id Software. How #JohnCarmack and @johnromero.bsky.social went on to create some of the most influential video games of our time. It's also the best purely documentary book I've ever read. Good stuff! #5BookChallenge 💙📚
