Review Gnome @whatdoiknowjr.bsky.social takes a deep dive into the Tales of the Valiant Player's Guide from @koboldpress.com and examines what this #5eSRD based game means in the greater scheme of D&D options going forward.

There is already a narrative that emerges with every licensed 5e RPG that the game will be a poorly implemented game that's cashing in on the license, when there are several very well designed #5eSRD licensed games.

Part of what concerns me about this implementation is that it makes the LOTR RPG look like a clumsy adaptation of the #5eSRD rules, when its actually a pretty slick iteration.
