Well, I went out and did a few laps of the park and there is zero sign of a heatwave here in Westmorland. I didn’t need my sunhat, but I did take my water bottle. I’ll check my total but I think that takes me to 150 miles in #60MilesInJune for #DiabetesUK

Now heading to Ulverston for free!
I did have to nudge the driver, but he let me on. The plan is to walk the 8 miles back to Barrow.

I should just about make 150 miles this month for #60MilesInJune
I had a grocery trip just before lunch, and then after lunch I thought I’d conduct a recce to see where the road goes out of Roose to Dalton-in-Furness. My recce turned in to a walk to Dalton lol. 8.8 miles round trip and it was lovely. 😃

6 miles today and it was very windy.
And I saw the air ambulance doing a pickup at the hospital.

Entering the final week of #60MilesInJune
113.38 miles walked and £45 raised.
Going to reach 150 miles for sure, can I make it to 200?

The lake at the park. Apart from a few families over at the swings there weren’t many people there. Such a shame it’s not used more, but lovely for me it was so quiet.
Other side of the lake.
And considering I was going to take it easy after yesterday’s 8.9 miles that’s not a bad number.
Headed out earlier for groceries and then a gentle walk around the park after yesterday’s 8.9 miles to Dalton and back.
Rain has now arrived so I’m going to have a shower and a brew before I find a book in my TBR pile to read. 🤓😃👍

Today’s #PoachedEggs were my best so far I think. 🤔
Just having a cup of tea before I head out on my walk.

Rest day tomorrow!
Just over 6 miles today for #60MilesInJune for #DiabetesUK
That takes me over 50 miles!
Wow. So I’d not intended to achieve any particular milestone today, it was just a great afternoon for a walk.
But today’s walk takes me to 47.27 miles for #60MilesInJune
Bucket hat must still be in transit, so I’m using my new sunhat for this afternoon’s walk. It’s quite sunny so I think I’m going to need it.
Taking a bottle of water too!
Already done two miles doing grocery shopping.

5.9 miles this morning in wet and windy conditions!
It was definitely a day for a waterproof jacket and beanie, I can’t believe it’s June 1st.

Already had two donations and I’ve not even started stepping yet for #DiabetesUK
So a massive thank you to Dawn and Kate, that’s £20 towards life changing research in to Diabetes.
#60MilesInJune
It’s entirely possible that my small group of friends and acquaintances will be getting tired of me keep asking for donations. But I’m going to take that risk!
Because for the month of June I’ll be taking part in another fundraiser for Diabetes UK in their #60MilesInJune event.
