David Coulter speaking now, covering history from the Big Bang. The JADES Transient Survey looked back at the same fields, so was very useful to find supernovae.

Excited to run into (almost literally!) Dr. John Mather at #aas235! I first met John while a grad student at Yale when he was so gracious and generous with his time to talk to a lowly grad student before a prize… www.instagram.com/p/B7C8PSQJ6m-/
Some of our incredible scholars here at #AAS235. Grad schools don’t miss out!
It was wonderful to catch up today with colleagues that hired me 20+ years ago to join the @chandraxray team. 20 years later, I’m fortunate to call them my friends. To learn that some of my code written all those years ago is still used in operations today warms my heart. #aas235
An ambassador program run by @maunakeaobs would recruit locals interested in highlighting the work & discoveries made. Would be similar to #NASA’s excellent #SolarSystemAmbassador program that seeks to connect with local communities and the value of doing basic science. #aas235
I have enjoyed hearing/learning about Hawaiian celestial navigation & stewardship of Mauna Kea at #aas235. @maunakeaobs has done great work in engaging w/local community. I think a #MaunaKea astronomy ambassador program would be a great way to share discoveries made at the summit
Last chance to check out our amazing scholars presenting today, and while you are at it, mark your calendars for the rest of the week! #AAS235
There’s a point you reach in your career when the highlights of attending a conference is reconnecting with old friends. It was great to catch up @EricMamajek today, who is now the Deputy Program Chief Scientist for #NASA’s Exoplanet Exploration Program at @NASAJPL. #aas235
