Shoutout to Clemson University, who supported me in bringing a small army from my research lab (the BEAM lab) to #ABCT2024 - including one of my grad students, Alexis, and 7 of my undergraduate students. Truly a cool, heartwarming, full circle moment 💛 (4/4)
At a recent conference, in the fitness center, I wished my playlist had some big dumb dance music, and thought it would be fun if the percussion built up over time (as more people climbed on machines).
So later that day I made that music myself: tomrodebaugh.bandcamp.com/track/confer...

Thank you @abctnow.bsky.social for a wonderful conference and the opportunity to present work done by Dr. Allison Kelly and myself. It was great to chat with others about intervening with #self-criticism with brief #cognitive and #compassion-focused interventions!

This past weekend our team had the opportunity to share how we developed the iSTRIVE intervention at the #ABCT2024 convention! The symposium was led by Déjà Clement PhD and included Abigail Batchelder PhD, Jacklyn Foley PhD, Matthew Sullivan PhD, Kristen Regenauer PhD, and Christine Psaros PhD.
And always, I am grateful to have the @dissig.bsky.social as my research home and I’ll actually miss being the Membership Officer (if you can believe it) #ABCT2024 #uknowuwantdis
Airport monitor with ABCT logo and the Philadelphia LOVE statue
Feeling hopeful about the future of #impsci after #ABCT2024 (especially after spotting this sign at the airport on my way back to Colorado yesterday!)
It’s been a year. Mostly good. Some obv not so good. But connecting with mentors, former students, & colleagues who have become friends fills the soul.
Also @drehrenreich.bsky.social NEARLY won the game of “most famous person you know who would text you back.”

So proud to be part of the incredible #ImpSci community at Northwestern!
@jschleiderphd.bsky.social won the #ABCT2024 early career award from the #ImpSci Special Interest Group and Andrea Graham won the early career award from the Tech Special Interest Group! Way to go, Jessica and Andrea! 🥳
Reunited after weekend away at #ABCT2024 (and the Gnarly Dog!). Is he serious?! 💕
Had a great time at #ABCT2024 w/ lots of methods symposia, workshops, catching up with old colleagues & friends!
Grateful for the opportunity to share some of my recent work investigating reciprocal effects between chronic interpersonal and non-interpersonal stress with tri-level factors of depression and anxiety ✨ @abctnow.bsky.social #ABCT2024
Loved seeing @lauradadamo.bsky.social present at #ABCT2024 on our work developing an all-in-one digital platform to help providers learn & deliver CBTgsh for #eatingdisorders. Exciting to be working on scalable ways to help general MH providers address EDs. These probs shouldn't be 'niche'.
Can we coin a new term called post-ABCT depression? What do you mean it’s just my normal Monday in Ann Arbor recruiting teens? That adrenaline rush from all the science at @abctnow.bsky.social #ABCT2024 was amazing! 📈👩💻
Loved talking at #ABCT2024 about the online platform we built to scale training in CBTgsh so that providers in areas/settings that typically lack access to training workshops in EBTs (eg community mental health settings) can learn to treat eating disorders & have a platform to deliver tx on!
My mentor, Dr. Are, and the two research posters from our lab!
Me during an off guard; i was just trying to drink coffee!
The hotel was right near City Hall. I couldn't have asked for a better location.
I finally saw the portal!!! So cool!
Checked in at the #ABCT2024 Conference in Philly. Presented research, made connections, soaked in the motivation, and explored the city. Ready to apply some of the game-changing insights to my next research phase. Grateful for the opportunity!
In case you missed it at #ABCT2024, here is our poster presenting some of our first research looking at social determinants of health and treatment outcomes. This topic is of great interest of us at Cohen Veterans Network, so expect to see more soon!
Congrats on receiving the outstanding @abctnow.bsky.social mentor award, Anne Marie Albano! I wish I had a pic, but I got carried away by the never ending round of applause 😍👏🏽

That’s a wrap @abctnow.bsky.social! Loved getting to reunite with friends old and new at #ABCT2024! One of the best parts of academic conferences is getting to learn with and from people who are so passionate about what they do! #AcademicSky
Had so much fun moderating this panel on youth mental health equity & addressing racism through CBT @abctnow.bsky.social
Shoutout to these amazing & insightful panelists!

#ABCT2024 was great! Until next time. Stopped by to support Harriett’s Bookshop on my way out of town. A book of poems by Phillis Wheatley. In 1773, Phillis Wheatley was the first African American author to publish a book of poetry.✨
Had a great time at #ABCT2024 presenting my poster on death anxiety in LGBTQ+ college students! It was great seeing all the wonderful research in the room:)
Wrapping up #ABCT2024 eats: Terakawa ramen, a canele from Metropolitan Bakery, Basssett’s ice cream, Barbuzzo first dinner, Amada second dinner, my third salted caramel budino of the weekend, and a bialy from Kismet. Also I may or may not have flown home with a cheesesteak in my purse.
A wrap on #ABCT2024! Exciting to see old friends, to present, and to hear about all of the exciting work getting done!
what a whirlwind to learn about adapting behavioral + occupational interventions to autistic folks this year at #ABCT2024 as an autistic researcher with lived experience in the mental health industrial complex
