Politics and OCD generally don't mix well, I could tell you personally.
What has helped me, besides medication, is following a bunch of animals and/or whatever you like. So it covers the politics when you're in a flare. I have turtles, rabbits, dogs, and cats!

to put in more detail, intrusive thoughts are opposite of how u normally think and go against ur morals. It's not on purpose and thats why its intrusive and scary. It's more associated with OCD, thats why they do compulsions. They don't want these thoughts and it can be debilitating. #actuallyocd
