One of my Comp 2 students reflected on her experience of writing without ChatGPT in my course. She said that she developed her own voice, and that even tho she struggled at first to brainstorm and organize without ChatGPT, she was able to adjust, and she built confidence in her skills.

Blackboard now has a sparkly little prompt that says "Help me write!" that appears in a textbox intended for leaving student feedback.
So, a so-called "learning management system" is now encouraging me to use genAI to leave comments on my students' work.
This is offensive and wrong.
