What does the future of correctional psychology look like?

At #APLS2026, Dr. Jennifer Skeem joined the Correctional Committee’s invited symposium on digital technology, crime prevention, and re-entry. Honored to be in conversation with Emily Dauria and Matthew Rowland.

This past weekend, I attended @ap-ls.org in Reno, Nevada and presented a poster on the co-occurrence of true crime consumption & victim-blaming attitudes. 🧪⚖️ #apls2026

I noticed 3 themes
in the APLS talks
that I attended:

1: more youth focus
2: language translation needs
3: AI (all sides)

I had an amazing time at #apls2026 in Reno! I was excited to present my recent work examining how repeated-suspect presentations contaminate memory and put innocent suspects at risk. It was also lovely to spend time with some of my favorite people. ☺️

Can't wait for Louisville next year!
