Nothing beats the energy of a poster session where unexpected questions spark entirely new research directions! ✨ Loved sharing "Flexible Foragers" at #ASABSpring2026.

Do free-ranging dogs play it safe, or do they strategize for a better meal? 🐕
Grateful to have presented my poster at #ASABSpring2026! 🐕💡

I had a brilliant time presenting my first-ever poster on the first experiment of my PhD at #ASABSpring2026. It was such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and it was a pleasure meeting so many like-minded students all working on exciting projects in animal behaviour.

It's always useful having the person who actually did the fieldwork 10 years ago (@samellisq.bsky.social) present in the audience... helps with answers to questions when you can see the person involved nodding along! #ASABSpring2026

Another fab conference #ASABSpring2026 😊 ASAB Spring always one of my favourites (and not JUST because of the ceilidh, though it's definitely a big perk!) and this was no exception! Thanks to the organisers from Bristol Uni for hosting 😊

I’ve had a wonderful time at #ASABSpring2026 @asab-meetings.bsky.social learning about lots of interesting things (and sharing some stuff about my crickets and pesticide exposure 🧪)

Really excited to be heading to @isbe2026.bsky.social in July too to share some other work from my first chapter 🦗🦎

Conferences like #ASABSpring2026 are fun but theyre a lot of bloody work. My partner-in-crime @sophiadaoudi.bsky.social and I are shattered 😵 (or maybe it’s just from climbing that bloody hill every morning)

I’m very excited to put the videos together though. I think they’ve turned out well!

What is the CNC 2026?
• One of the biggest global citizen science projects
• Uses Naturalist as its recording software
• In the past it has even brought species back from extinction!
• Last year 102945 individuals helped to record and ID 73,765 species, which is amazing!
