An aquifer in Arizona is losing water at alarming rates. What will the state do? Arizona's water authority wants to place groundwater rules in a basin where Saudi-owned Fondomonte grows thousands of acres of alfalfa for export.

“The Hobbs administration terminated or canceled leases from Fondomonte Arizona LLC in Butler basin, …but the Saudi subsidiary of dairy giant Almarai Co. still owns and farms some 10,000 acres of land in the Ranegras plain.“ - @cmigoya.bsky.social

Colorado River Indian Tribes may grant personhood rights to 'living' river The Colorado River Indian Tribes may soon give their eponymous river personhood status, following moves by other tribes and Indigenous peoples.

Imagine rivers with the same rights as corporations?

“When it all comes down to it, the river is my grandfather," said CRIT Councilman Tommy Drennan. "I am made of this river."

Tucson leaders unanimously vote to shut down massive data center proposal known as Project Blue Pima County supervisors voted to approve Project Blue in June and the next decision sat with the city — which needed to approve annexing the land for the data center and allowing it to use city water.

Big win for Tucson! City leaders unanimously rejected Project Blue - a massive data center that threatened to drain local water resources. Arizonans deserve clean air, sustainable growth & water security. #AZwater #SustainableDevelopment #CleanEnergy #ProtectArizona bit.ly/4m5HnZj

Do As I Say, Not As I Do Remember when Faraday Copper and Redhawk told us “Every Drop Counts”? Well that seems to be a “Do as I say, not as I do” item, which is common with junior miners.
