If there's one thing I hate more than seeing "AEST" when you mean "Sydney/Melbourne time", it's seeing the ambiguous and ungoogleable "AEST/AEDT".
What time is it in "AEST/AEDT" right now?
TRICK QUESTION! Those are two different time zones, both of which are currently in effect!

I'm tired of friends having to do maths to figure out when to meet up online.
To be clear, this is NOT about Daylight Savings.
We're a global society. Time zones are a relic.
And frankly, nobody should be allowed time zones until they prove they know how to use them properly!

Permanent savings time is better than changing the clock twice a year, but permanent standard time is better than permanent savings time.
