A thick-pile, woven, wall-hanging rug is hanging on a grey wall and has a raking beam of sunshine diagonally across its center. It is a multi-coloured rug with a central motif of an abstracted bonfire. There is a blurred mass of orange and red radiating from the centre of the composition, and it is surrounded by purple, blue, green, and pale yellow. It is almost like the bonfire is on a horizon line, with the red and purple on the top half mirrored by yellow, orange, green, and blue on the bottom.

It's delightful to see actual sunshine in the studio, but it also reminds me that I have to move the ryijy out of its path.
