Not so proud of this one because I cheated a little by printing a picture I found on the internet, soaked it in water to fade the ink, dried, redrawn in my way with new clothes and hair, #acrylicpaint and #marker.
Perhaps I should paint her again in the snow. Where's my muse?

In a vast sea of water lilies mysterious Stones breach the Surface, in front of the horizon darkened by Storm Couds uncanny round Stone spheres hover in line impossible. Light Comes from Above illuminating the middle Ground, with the Background and foreground kept in shade.

Semi abstract mixed media with predominate red swathes relating to the words of the poem. Copper wire barbed wire was fashioned and fastened, also wooden pegs with copper wire entangled in them.
Final version of “it’s like fire” using original poem with acrylic paints mixed into spackling on hard panel. Finished with other mixed media elements and a coat of Liquin to seal.

Will be cleaning up soon... tip someone shared. Instead of pouring paint water down the drain, put it in a container and fill it w/ kitty litter. Eventually you can throw it out in trash.
