Dear every youkai and human, I sincerely apologize for the delay of last Sunday’s daily paper—during the trip back to Letcupen from Alavey, I had unexpectedly been caught in a snowstorm and only arrived in the city this morning! Usually, I can expect when one is going to form, however this time was different and I feel absolutely terrible about it. Although, the show must go on as always as the people say! Since Umi Inu, a kind of beast youkai that resemble fish-like canines, were coming closer to shore as they annually do, I had decided to try a rare delicacy there in Alavey using them. It’s even rumored that it is the prince of Alavey’s favorite food! I’ve grown up eating local Letcupen seafood, however I can safely say that this just was not for me. Though, don’t keep that from having you try it! In my honestly put words, it had a strong taste of fresh seawater alongside fish eggs and seaweed. Surprisingly to me, this Umi inu meat was not terrible. At least it’s said that if you taste the Umi inu bones in a meal, you’ll be safe from their attacks forever.
