Gave a #POCUS talk to the #AcuteMedicine doctors in the East of England Deanery today.

Two thoughts.

1 - #POCUS still isn’t fully adopted.
Asking a vested interest audience “who scans at least 1 pt a clinical shift?” ~25% raised hands.

2 - Talk content needs to be minimum 75% pretty pics.

This is decent #FOAMed.

@emswami.bsky.social is absolutely worth a follow. He is one of the hardest workers on this app, providing a constant stream of clinical pearls.

Hi #medsky #acutemedicine #emergencymedicine.
What general medicine courses would folks recommend as refresher or current updates relevant to EM? Online/catch up preferable. Thanks

Already past the initial scanning/course, AIM StRs getting the supervised/mentored scans for accreditation.

We are also training the trainers - those with accreditation, but needing the next step to become mentors themselves - supervised by seasoned teachers.

Back to work after the loveliest of weekends in my home county of North Yorkshire.

I work in an acute med SDEC but we are seeing more and more patients who should, and theoretically could be seen in primary care. The GP crisis needs addressing urgently
