An arabic PDF opened in Acrobat spawns an error message that says "Cannot find or create the font 'SimplifiedArabic-Bold'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." Subsequent Arabic characters are all rendered as black bullet points squished together.

One of the irritating things about Acrobat is getting an error message like this. Things work fine if you just drag things into Firefox.
