Claus has been enjoying a woodland walk a first for him since his amputation, he really enjoyed the new sights and smells and he did really well with the uneven ground and mud a good challenge the he really enjoyed, then home for a nap.

****Now available for adoption *** Do you have space in your heart and home for a Noodle? Noodle is beautiful fox red 1 year old girl who has a feathered tail and some feathering to her back legs. She’s about 26” to the shoulder and is very fine set – she is absolutely a fan of pyjamas and cozy coats because of this! Noodles favourite things in the world are cuddles, having mad 5 minute zoomies in the garden, and going out for a puppacino at the café. She is a big fan of playing with her squeaky banana toy and chasing after tennis balls, though bringing it back hasn’t happened yet. Everyone who meets Noodle comments on her gentle soul. She never jumps up, asks for attention with a very gentle nose boop and overall is a total love ball who expresses her happiness to be with her humans very quietly. She gives joyous tail wags when you come in, but mostly waits to be asked to come for strokes. Overall, Noodle is an utter joy to have around. She just wants a human to call her own (or a few) and to give her the love she deserves. Noodle: Walks nicely on a martingale collar or harness Sleeps through the night in her own bed (in her fosterers bedroom currently) Is able to be left crated on her own in the day for a few hours Is clean and dry in the house Travels well in the car Gets on well with other dogs Loves people, but can be a little shy at first Is bright as a button, and quickly picks things up Has been great with all the children she has met Has enjoyed going to work with her foster dad and cruising the office for attention and dog treats then snoring under a desk Settles nicely in cafes. With her emotional support humans she really loves going out and about Things Noodle has issues about: She is absolutely not cat safe/trainable, or anything small and furry, or chickens etc at her home or anywhere she would visit off the lead. She can pull on the lead when she sees a squirrel etc and training will need to continue to help her not make this an issue.

Her very high prey drive and fixation on things she has seen may mean going off lead in non-enclosed spaces will not be advisable ever. Noodle can be shy at first, and needs humans who will gently support her confidence and helping her experience a range of things.

Maxwell available for adoption Meet Maxwell, usually known as Max (or Maxi, Maxi-Paxi, Maxi-Moo, or Mr Moo). He’s been with us since October 2024 and is a Spanish Mastiff of impressive proportions at around 60kg and 35 inches to the shoulder, but in his heart he’s an honorary lurcher and a devoted lap dog. At home he’s calm, cuddly, crate trained, happy in the car, and loves nothing more than a sofa and a good tummy rub. He lives happily with one other dog, is social with dogs, not cat friendly, and is wonderful with children, including a 10-month-old baby and a 15-year-old who is firmly his best mate. Lead walking is still a work in progress, but he’s making steady improvements, and his recall is just starting to click in secure fields, which is a huge milestone for him. He loves a run in a safe space, will need a secure 6ft-fenced garden, and an experienced home that understands big, independent breeds. *****Foster home or adoption***** Lovely Queenie needs your help, she has spent the last few weeks in a wonderful foster home but sadly she is not able to stay there after February, normally this wouldn’t be an issue as we would just move her to another foster home but unfortunately Queenie isn’t happy to be around other dogs at the moment so we are looking for a dog free foster home or a forever home. Queenie is amazing in so many ways, she is fully house trained can be left for a couple of hours good in the car and non destructive. What Queenie doesn’t like is seeing other dogs out and about so she is looking for a home where she won’t be walked in an area with a high number of dogs at the moment while she continues her training. She is very responsive and wants to please her foster day but this is still a work in progress and being that she is a 30kg dog she needs someone who can handle her and continue her training. Noodle update Noodle continues to be an absolutely super dog. She’s 26” to the shoulder, but in a 28” coat as she really is a long dog with a lovely feathered tail. Noodle’s confidence with new people is improving all the time and everyone who meets her loves her- she’s been getting out and about lots and walks beautifully on her lead apart from getting excited when she sees squirrels though she calms quickly now. She’s learnt to sit and lie down on command and has started to bring balls back to you in the garden. She loves zooming in the garden and playing with her foster brother. In fact the only bad things I could say about her is her very high prey drive means she could not live with cats, small furries, or chickens. She loves to cuddle, and very sweetly comes to ask to be stroked with a gentle nose push. Www.lurcher.org.uk

***Peggy Sue will be ready to start looking for a new home in 2026 *** Peggy Sue has been with us for a few weeks and has settled nicely. She can be nervous to start with but soon gains confidence. She loves her walks, is clean in the house, travels beautifully, and is very sociable with other dogs. She is starting to play with toys which is lovely to see. Sunshine is finally ready for her forever home. This special girl came to us in a terrible state and scared of everything but we are pleased to say she is doing very well and with the right home will continue to blossom. Around 3 years old and 24 inches tts, her coat is growing back beautifully. She loves to play in a secure environment where she feels happy but the outside world is still quite scary so will need patience and understanding, she just wants to feel safe which is totally understandable considering what she must of gone through before coming to us. A good harness and collar is a must, double leaded at all times when walked. She doesn't pull on the lead and walks well but is very wary of what's around her in unknown open spaces. She travels well in the car and sleeps happily on the sofa or a dog bed at night, we are still having the odd accident but she's getting better. Cats are a no sorry. Also only adults in the household as she can be grumbly if woken by a human or other dog. She is a very loving and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than to cuddle up next to you. She loves her dog pals and they give her confidence but she can be jealous as she wants all the attention. So would be good as an only dog but with lots of doggy visitors and playdates. She has been left for 3 hours with other dogs and has been fine. If you have the time and patience to help Sunshine to continue to thrive please give Pip or Linda a call. Charlie has been a very, very lucky boy today. With his foster Mum, he went on a drive up to visit his Auntie Ann at her grooming parlour Ann's Canine Care, Woodmancote GL52.
Ann has worked her magic on him & spruced him up, so he is now shining (& smelling) like a 'new pin'.

**** now available for adoption ***** Charlie 8 years young 26 inches to the shoulder 30 kg Charlie our very handsome boy is now ready to find his forever home. Charlie is looking for a home with another dog ideally but we will consider him for a home as an only dog as long as there is someone around a lot of the time. Charlie for some reason doesn’t like collies so cannot be homed with that breed and dogs should be whippet sized or above. Although Charlie is 8 he is not an old 8 and is still very strong and fit, so is looking for a home where he will have good walks and be able to have exercise in a safe enclosed field (5ft fencing not stock fencing). Although Charlie walks most of the time nicely on a lead he does have a very strong prey drive and pulls like a train if he sees a squirrel or other small furries, for this reason he needs a cat free and small furry free home. Charlie is a sweet loving boy and can be a real charmer - he can also be really funny at times but is not in your face all the time for attention, he is happy to amuse himself. He plays with toys - he enjoys taking them into the garden so he can watch you bring them back in when he doesn’t. Charlie needs to have high secure fencing at least 6ft with no low gates. He is a very capable jumper and did clear the foster homes 6ft fencing in the first couple of days so had to spend several weeks on a long line and we will be asking new owners to commit to this also until he gets settled. He has a stunning coat that will need regular grooming and a visit to the groomer every few months to keep him nice and tidy. He is very good at the groomers. Charlie travels very well in the car and has been to visit lots of different people and places which he really enjoyed.
