If you want to stick with C-dramas, given you enjoyed #AdvanceBravely, my suggestions would be perhaps #Addicted (the 2016 Chinese version that got cut short because it was too popular and that’s why the censorship tightened up) and/or #SCIMystery (it’s detective “bromance” but the veil is thin).

it's definitely batshit, but about a third of the way in the main pairing become an almost normal couple with lots of excellent tropes, and the batshittery is taken over by the side pairings
