Yes, some people would do anything for the opportunity, but it's still a LOT of work and it does take a toll. And just because there are others who wish they had the chance does not invalidate the stress you're feeling. I'm glad you're looking into options. #AdventuresInEldercare
My dad had a couple of spots on his scalp biopsied Wednesday. The dressing has to be changed daily and assisted living won't do that. All of the home health companies employ CNAs and they won't do that. My sister and I just figured out the schedule for the week. #AdventuresInElderCare

Worked with a coworker this morning who I haven't spoken to in a while. While we were waiting for the software to do its thing, we caught up and it was mostly about #AdventuresInEldercare. She's going through much the same with her folks and I caught her up on the last 14 months. Good talk!
She kept waking me up every 20 minutes or so between 4am and 7am, I was not having fun. Finally got a little sleep between 7 and 8:30 (I think she fell asleep for a bit too). She is very confused today but physically seems unharmed, thankfully. Always something new in #AdventuresinEldercare
Ooof, so sorry you are also in our crappy #adventuresInEldercare club
Man, I wish we could limit who can see our posts.
I need to go into work tonight after dinner to grab my computer bc I am apparently WFH tomorrow. Dad needs to get in to see a specialist tomorrow or go to the ER so I need to take Mom to her 11:15 appt. #AdventuresInEldercare
Oh, and I looked for a place to put the ramen I bought for her and saw 2 of a 3-pack of Velveeta shells and cheese...that only Mom eats.
Me: When was the last time you ate this?
Mom: [shrugs]
Me: Yeah, THAT can go out to the shelf, then.
