HTI Journal of African and African Diasporic Studies/ La revue des études sur l'Afrique et la diaspora africaine The Journal of African and African Diasporic Studies (JAADS) is the official journal of the Harriet Tubman Institute (HTI) for Research on Africa and its Diasporas within York University. It is an international, peer-reviewed, and bilingual journal that publishes research that are grounded in the rich Black Intellectual Traditions and evolving field of African Diaspora Studies. In accordance with the mandate of the HTI, the journal seeks to facilitate collaborations and engagement within and beyond the academy, inviting contributions from both scholars and practitioners working on issues pertinent to Black communities.
