This acrylic painting is based on Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy. The painting covers the whole wall, goes into the corner and onto the corner wall. Circus Maximus is a painting I created in watercolor the summer of 2021. In the foreground are green bushes and trees with greenery growing on the ruins of the coliseum (different than THE coliseum in Rome. The day I painted the watercolor the sun was penetratingly hot and I wore a scarf on my hat. A yoga mat was the cushion between my body the pavement. It’s a subject I paint repeatedly.

At my AirBnB, 1932 Artist Bungalow I have a work in progress painting. I work on it between guests. This depiction is where I left off yesterday.
