Looking at my comment from last week, I realized that this week didn't characterize Akane much either. She's just this kind of generic genki JK. There's a scene when the teacher says she's really grown up, and I didn't get it, because she seems the same as last week.

I know this comes with territory given the subject matter and all but I really do enjoy the character acting in this. Moreover with how expressive Akane herself is, the 2nd episode shows how she is just the perfect protaginst for show very much about acting #Akanebanashi

Akane's first Scared of Manju performance was soooo good, I loved seeing her invoke her father's memory! And the new characters of Kaisei and Guriko were great additions
