I don't recall what the name of this uninhabited island was, but it sure was pretty neat lookin.
Also another pic from August's 🚁 shenanigans

Another photo from back in August. This was the deposits remnants of a long gone glacier from the ice ages. It's incredible to see in person like this how glaciers shape the land.

This is also one of the coolest photos I took in the summer. This here is a bear ladder! For countless generations bears have followed eachother's exact footsteps up this mountain, ensuring sure steps in a treacherous terrain.

Stika is so pretty!! <3<3<3<3
Need to visit here legitimately for a day or 2 rather than just a short layover

🚁 vertebrae
Had to perform a wire surgery (nervous system? 🤔) on this bird back in June.

Miss my lil friend in Port Heiden who'd come up and just hang out every morning while I'd do my daily inspections on the helicopter.
I'd talk to em, tried to teach em the basic helicopter parts, but apprentices can be so stubborn x3

The sky was giving quite the show this morning in Juneau <3<3

Short clip from back in June when I tagged along with the pilots training in the Jet Ranger for a lil scenic tour of Ten Thousand Smokes. What an incredible place <3
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
And awaaaaay they go! :3
Hot fueling out of barrels in the literal bush was definitely one of the more fun things I did with this heli :3

In August most of the south east is carpets of billions of flowers, then berries in September. What a place <3
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
Little thing I arted back in August while waiting on weather to become flyable. The pilot wanted to be courteous to the other pilots for the limited ramp space & parked the Long Ranger in a patch of wildflowers instead.I thought it was cute :3

I am so in love with Alaska for real. This Douglas island a couple weeks back just before the snow started & I was going thru my Airbus heli maintenance class :]
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
All Sand Point still. This place felt like art :)
They do have an AStar heli working over there. Maybe if I get bored of Juneau 😏
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
Like all of this is the same town. I totally fell in love with Sand Point <3
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
One of the practice landscapes I did a couple.months back. Based on a pic I took on a walk to the post office in the charming little fishing town of Sand Point Alaska. I was so in love with this place I'd have moved there if I could x3

Seeing land like this in person did some sort of damage to my Floridian grown brain cause I need mor <3
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
Another one of my favorite pics from the summer, was organizing the truck, finishing my inspection & getting ready to hotfuel the 🚁. Paused & thought for a sec, "Despite everything, I'm still me. & having the best time." :3

That was a wild week in the bush. We were on a job with the Long Ranger helping the village get some building materials out to this camp. I hot fueled the heli from barrels& hooked up it's cable between every delivery -there are 0 roads, helicopters are semitrucks here. #AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
Cause like this is 100% gonna be a core memory. It was my 1st solo engine component change on.. anything and it was in this lovely little village called Igigagic. People there were very nice. :]

Or I pretend it's a part from a pirate ship cause I found it on an uninhabited island just around the corner from this wooden sailing shipwreck off the coast of Cold Bay. It's origins are unknown, locals assume it's either a whaling or pirate ship from the 1800s :]
#AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
Having fun with a vid I took back in September on our way back to King Salmon from Sand Point after helping some geologists repair their volcano monitoring equipment. I was just there to make sure the 🚁 was healthy :] #aircraftmechanic #AlaskaWrenchingAdventures
A few more of my favorite photos from the summer. I'm forever going to be chasing the sheer euphoria high I experienced in Southeastern Alaska. I miss it already ;_;

Couple of my favorite pics from later in the summer. The pilot put my bag in so Totoro could have a window seat for our afternoon of goofing off. Totoro wasn't thrilled about landing on the sea floor tho x3
