Sexistential – Neues Album von Robyn „Sexistential“: Ein großartiger Titel für ein Album einer Frau, die sich bewusst für das Leben als alleinerziehende Mutter entschieden hatte. Die schwedische „Queen of sad Bangers“ ist zurück. Und wie! Wie, wer? Ihr wisst nicht, wer Robyn ist? Vor fast 20 Jahren hatte sie ihren bisher größten Hit mit Kleerup: „With every heartbeat„. Was hatte mich die Nummer damals tief ins Mark getroffen! Das sah Europa damals auch so, und sogar die USA waren unfassbar angetan von der trübseligen Nummer. ## Wer bitte ist denn Robyn? Bevor ich ein paar Worte zu „Sexistential“ verliere, mal schnell ein paar Gedanken zu Robyn. Sie wird dieses Jahr 47 und heißt bürgerlich Robin Miriam Carlsson. Schon mit 12 Jahren nahm sie ihre erste Nummer auf, und mit 16 erschien das erste Album „Robyn Is Here“. Das erste Nummer-1-Album war dann 2010 „Body Talk“. Davor im Jahr 2007 hauten Kleerup und sie wie gesagt „Wih Every Heartbeat“ raus und holten sich damit Gold und Platin in halb Europa. So wahnsinnig viel Gossip ist über die kühl wirkende Schwedin gar nicht bekannt. Außerdem kann uns das ja eigentlich auch egal sein. Irgendwas von einem Vitali wird erzählt, mit dem irgendwas in Richtung On-Off war. Und sie hatte sich bewusst dazu entschieden, eine „Single Mom“ zu sein. Ach ja, und Dating soll sie angeblich „wie Busfahren“ ansehen. Ihre Texte sind meistens irgendwie melancholisch und handeln von Liebe, Mutterschaft, Sex und persönlichen Veränderungen. Deshalb ist sie auch die „Queen of sad Bangers“. ## Sexistential: Eine spröde, surreale Reise Am Freitag brachte sie über ihr eigenes Label das neues Album „Sexistential“ heraus. Wenn man so ein wenig Robyn verfolgt hat, könnte man auf die Idee kommen, dass ihre musikalische Entwicklung nur zu diesem Album führen konnte. Wir haben Anleihen von Kraftwerk und Depeche Mode, von The Art of Noise und Skrillex, all das im Stile von ihrem großen Erfolg, der Body Talk Trilogie von 2010. Sie sagte, dass das Album wie ein Raumschiff auf sie zukam und eine Crashlandung hinlegte. Sie behandelt wieder das Leben als alleinerziehende Mutter, die aber eben auch körperliche, sexuelle und emotionale Bedürfnisse hat. In der halben Stunde hat der Hörer aber auch das Gefühl, als wolle sie immer wieder zu verstehen geben: „Dude, du bist zwar ziemlich geil, aber ich entscheide, für wen ich die Beine breit mache“. Ja, sorry, ich will niemandem zu nahe treten, aber die Texte lesen sich ernsthaft ganz genau so. Und bevor wir uns falsch verstehen: Ich finde das extrem gelungen. „Sexistential“ soll „Sex“ und „Essential“ verbinden. Die musikalische Reise bringt den Hörer schnell an die Grenzen, wenn man sich nicht darauf einlässt und mit einer Erwartung heran geht, dass die Frau etwas zu sagen hat. Nämlich, dass sie zwar auch so Wünsche und Bedürfnisse hat, aber das Geschehen selbst bestimmt. Und das eben so, wie wir als Gen X halt so reden. Nicht instagrammable, nicht Social-Media-freundlich. Warum soll denn dann „Sexistential“ algorithmusfreundlich sein? Nein, das Album ist schon eine runde Sache. Nach 8 Jahren Pause nach „Honey“ und insgesamt 16 Jahren nach „Body Talk“ und wiederum 19 Jahren nach „With Every Heartbeat“ ist Robyn bei „Sexistential“ genau da angekommen, wo sie hin wollte. Das Album ist spröde, weil es keinem Algorithmus gefallen will. Es sind surreale Klangwelten enthalten, dass Kraftwerk ihre Freude daran hätten. Nur dass es halt nicht mal eine halbe Stunde lang ist, könnte man kritisieren.
