We fight for a world in which no one has to risk dangerous crossings, but can move freely.

Until then, as long as people are forced into these journeys by Europe’s border regime, we will continue to fight against the criminalization of the actions that facilitate these journeys—and against the narrative that frames them as “crimes.”

Freedom for Hani Zakharia! Trial on 01.09.25 in Crete, Greece. The 17-year-old hoped to help his family survive. He, a child, was arrested instead and now faces years in prison - and lost his mother, who died of a panic attack after hearing the news.

#AllEyesOnCrete − Hani’s case is a particularly brutal example of the violence and injustice of anti-smuggling laws that punish people for seeking safety. These laws are the real crime, and a continuation of Europe’s colonial legacy. 1/8

We must create visibility & show solidarity!

➡️If you’re on Crete — come to the trial, stand with the boys, and show the court we are watching!

➡️If you’re anywhere else — share this post, spread the word, make noise for the boys and against this mass incarceration! 5/5
