‘A Field full of Swans’ by Carry Akroyd. A large piece depicting a angled aerial view of a mosaic of winter arable fenland fields - some black (tilled peat), some orange (winter stubble) and some green (crops or grass) - with a right flock of white wintering Whooper Swans feeding in the centre against a green field.

This is one of many Carry Akroyd’s we have, ‘A Field full of Swans’ depicting wintering Whooper Swans feeding on the arable farmland in the Fens - a daily winter sight for us having lived in the arable fen near the Nene Washes for 20 years.
