The remains of a black and white mosaic. There is a broad white border with two thinner bands of black then white mosaic. The main design is of black and white squares mixing solid black squares, solid white squares, squares divided into diagonal triangular quarters with the top and bottom triangles black and the side ones white alternating with ones with the colours reversed.

Went to the Villa Giulia Etruscan Museum in Rome last September, this is their most famous exhibit - the Sarcophagus of the Spouses. I loved that they put benches in front of it so you can watch it in comfort as much as you like ❤️
