The question no one’s asking is, is it time to reassess Animal Nightlife? Found this 1985 debut LP in a Crouch End charity shop. It doesn’t include Mr Solitaire, their biggest hit (25), the album got to 36. Second album, Lush Life, came out in 1988, but that was it, apart from a belated 2000 best of CD, and members seem to have done much else in music. Maybe they were too boy band looking for the cool club crowd, and too club for the boy band fan? But anyone who likes Sade might enjoy this.
