Betty Hutton in #AnnieGetYourGun must have mattered to lots of little girls, even if her portrayal was maybe intended as a novelty.
My own little tomboy self could relate to Annie’s loud, hyperactive, socially awkward, straightforward misfit—she was just being herself.
