Being from Yorkshire every time I pick up an #AnthonyMcGowan book I’m taken back to my childhood. The Beck is another cracking read with a conservation theme but heavily focused on family relationships and friendship. #year6 + for language.
Most of the books that have moved me and stayed with me have been books like this. E.g Tom's Midnight Garden; Stig of the Dump; Kes; Skellig; The 11th Trade; The Boy at the Back of the Class etc etc. Books by #AnthonyMcGowan, #DavidAlmond, #KatyaBalen
