At the Council, we want to exchange views on previous anti-fascist practice and possible perspectives for the future, but also offer the opportunity to organise and network. The event is aimed at all those who want to become or are already active in the anti-fascist movement. You can expect talks and workshops on the ‘Stop Nazi Glorification’ campaign, feminist organising, neo-Nazi (youth) structures, militancy and masculinity, the AfD election campaign in the East, queer hostility, the tightening of the asylum law, left-wing media strategies and much more. Since then, the campaign has been revived several times and in recent years has become particularly well known for the international protests against the so-called ‘Day of Honour’ in Budapest. On 15 November, we want to look back on the last decades of anti-fascist mobilisation against Nazi glorification and celebrate the publication of our brochure with five examples of anti-fascist practice against right-wing extremist revisionism & revanchism. We talk to activists from different decades and their antifa & commemorative work. What worked in the different places? What has remained? And where do we go from here? One date has already been set: in February 2025, we will be travelling to Budapest again to oppose the so-called ‘Day of Honour’ together with our local comrades! Free All Antifas!
