The Antpittas are an interesting species. They hide in the underbrush. Technically they can fly but are very weak flyers, making them mostly ground dwellers often more heard than seen.

Most are found hopping around on the forest floor and are difficult to see. These have been lured out of hiding with worms. Except for the Tawny which is found in paramo regions above tree line.
