Stone entrance to Castel Del Monte, the scale of the entrance can be seen by the man in front, he is half the size of the wooden door and probably 1/10th the size of the entrance stonework above the door. There is a guardrail in front of the door which protects from twin staircases (out of frame). A large stone arch above the door and half a window is just visible.

4 octagonal towers and 3 walls are visible of Castel Del Monte which looms in the skyline, the walls have only a few small windows so the monolith looks foreboding and impenetrable
