Watercolor painting of the United Parish church in Brookline, Massachusetts. The church and its tower are lit up in oranges and yellows from a bright morning sun, rising behind the viewer. Creeping along the snow laden foreground and slightly up the facade is a cool purple shadow, cast from an opposing building behind the viewer and leaving a slight sliver of light, rising angularly against the slender windows of the church on the right side of the scene. The rose window and thin arched windows below it are made opaque from the bright sun and cast back a slight green color. To the left is a small portico entry, in the middle of the scene, beside a tall bell tower rising out of view.
