DYK? We've had a few films that have been filmed around here at the #LogCabinMuseum!
And this month’s #ArchivesHashtagParty theme is #ArchivesFilm! So of course we're about #tbt.
#DeathGoesNorth (f. #RinTinTin), #SonOfLassie, #CommandosStrikeAtDawn, & more recently, #AirBud's #PuppyStarChristmas.
For this month’s #ArchivesFilm ACA Hashtag Party, we’re spotlighting a newspaper clipping of Back to God’s Country (1919) — a landmark in Canadian cinema. 🎥
Filmed in Alberta, this film is Canada’s oldest surviving feature and became the country’s biggest box-office success of the silent era.
Black background that fades into lighter shades of blue near the bottom. White outlines of film strips are on the top and bottom borders. A graphic of a film camera is on the left, projecting a trapezoidal white shape, on which appears text in black that reads "ACA Hashtag Party / #ArchivesFilm / May 29, 2025". The ACA 50th Anniversary logo is in the top left corner.
Join us for today's ACA Hashtag Party: ArchivesFilm! We cannot wait to see your archives' films and film-related materials! Don't forget to tag us and use the hashtag; we'll be here all day re-sharing and helping to spread the word about your unique materials. #ACAHashtagParty #ArchivesFilm
