Statue of John Frazier, who was drilling for water and found artesian springs with mineral water that he could profit from, so he and some other dudes built a hotel and founded Carlsbad, California. There's more to his story I'm sure but I don't care enough to look it up. The building and tanks behind him still store and sell that water.
