🎨🐕 Quaker preacher & folk artist Edward Hicks completed ~130 paintings in his lifetime, and "Leedom Farm" was his last. In a detail of that 1849 piece, shown here, there's a lone #ArtfulPup amidst the menagerie of farm animals. The work is at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum.

🎨🐕 Meet Pep, this week’s #ArtfulPup feature and notable “inmate C-2559” at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. While lore had it that the Pep was incarcerated in 1924 for allegedly killing the governor's wife's cat, Pep was really introduced as an early therapy dog to help with morale.
