With the awe-inspiring image of Jesus being taken up to heaven as he blessed his disciples, we are mindful of these words from Paul in today’s Second Reading:

We await your coming in majesty
on the great day of judgement:
may we then gaze upon your glory,
with all the #FaithfulDeparted.
