Asha Aldwir (real name Narnie Minque (‘Tiers of Fire’ ‘Eleven’) She's neither qunari nor tal-tashoth. She lived in a kossith enclave across the sea, created by elves (from Middle-earth). Her mother died, and her father raised the children alone. Asha, the youngest, had a magic. So she was given to the elves to raise, as was the enclave's tradition, she studied until she came of age. All was well until the elves left Thedas without explanation. Asha wanted to find them and their world (cause a crush on her teacher), so she began studying eluvian and the Crossroads. One day Asha got lost in the Fade, trying to find eluvian wich lead to her home, and instead found the Veil Jumpers (this happened about a year before the Veilguard; they weren't called that yet). She was very surprised to see elves speaking a strange language. Asha pretended to have completely lost her memory. She learned Common and a few words of Elvish. She became interested in ancient elven artifacts and studied everything she could find in Arlathan. Asha moved to Minrathous after the events of Veilguard. She continues to study magic, eluvians, the Fade and the Crossroad. Asha loves snakes and has a snake tattoo on her arm. Asha is obsessed with knowledge and loves magic. She is a fire mage. Asha loves jewelry and is adorned with trinkets no less than Lords of Fortune. Asha may or may not be a Rook, depending on my mood. I wanted her to be in my canonical state of the world. Cis woman, she/her, lesbian Romance with Harding. If Asha is Rook, she begins communicating with Harding out of guilt over the harm she suffered during the disruption of Solas' ritual. She then helps Harding master her new magic. And so, gradually, their feelings for each other begin to blossom. If she's not Rook, then Asha communicates a lot with the team, learns about Harding's stone magic and, again, helps her get used to it, studying it along the way.

I'm usually cautious about canon, but sometimes I like to imagine "what if..." and that's how Asha and her story came to be.
