This is pretty funny. I don't use multi-band compression for mastering at all. The underlying computation are hideously complex and they are yet another thing between the music and the listener.

If you NEED multiband compression, it means the original mix failed.

Been back on Mad Men for the 4th or 5th time. I’m always stuck by the sound. Whatever mic/compressor combo is going on, all of the consonants, especially in women’s voices have a particularly yummy crispy transient. And all of the clothing is loud and up front too. #audionerd

It's literally sounding like high end expensive equipment, and it cost me £40 plus a cable. Honestly, the difference is absolutely amazing.

If you have the option to use a TOS cable with your kit, DO IT!! You won't regret it 😎

1. assemble files in one PT session. name & color tracks, batch clean, set up I/O, etc

2. create songs.txt with the song titles

3. one-liner script in Terminal to create a folder per song & copy the ptx file into it

4. when you open each song, delete unused stuff
