Because I was born in 1965, I could not be diagnosed with autism OR ADHD as a child. When they tried to figure out what was going on, I was hyperverbal, hyperlexic, hypermobile, Mensa level IQ,

I don’t often hash tag with identity labels other than #AutisticElder, but I have seen a couple of students who, when they find themselves suddenly still, in quiet, with no sensory input but breath and internal noises, flip the fuck out, turn on three av inputs, and grab snack, and beverage. #AudHD

This #AutisticElder had a tough day. School in-service training. I asked clarifying questions regarding restraint and seclusion, because I needed to understand if they meant “spirit of the law,” as opposed to the letter. Because I always choose letter. I’m always wrong.

I am picking up my hearing aid today. I have had Meniere’s in my left ear for 22years.
My hearing loss is fairly mild, but when it’s in, the nonstop ringing goes away mostly.
Having hyperacusis *and* hearing loss leads to weird hearing issues.
