Once upon a time I had a sub who asked me to help it decide its next tattoo.

So I put a light layer of fingerprint ink on the bottom of one of my favorite heavy boots, stepped on a paper to get a nice print and mailed it to it and told it to get it tattooed on its ass.

And it did.

Many a year ago I worked security job at a port in Florida. One night a guy lookin for stuff to steal clocked me in the face with a chair breaking some stuff in my face.

Docs saved my eye but it shows up in pics sometimes.

All my wols have studied anatomy to varying degrees to aid in their healing magic (easier to work if you know how the body's put together) but Auvrienne especially spent nine years in the Shroud making varying potions and poultices to provide to people turned away by the hearers. #AviLore

Auvrienne got to learn the particulars piecemeal when she and Haurchefant moved into Fortemps Manor following the death of their mother :) It wasn't any one person who sat her down to give her The Talk, but comments from the adults around her let her figure out the rest.

Alphinaud especially finds her a bit of an embarrassment and her mother's attention is mostly taken up by the twins. She ended up finding solace in Moenbryda, who taught her how to use an axe and gave her a safe place to get away from the pressures of her family.

Auvrienne: Edmont was "the count" when talking to others, or "my lord" when addressing him directly. She doesn't start calling him Father until after Stormblood.

When I was a young pup, I played a lot with this cool old Lionel train set my Uncle Richard won in a contest when he was a manager at Sears in the 50s. "Toys are meant to be played with" hed say.

I hadn't seen that set in 25years and look what turned up on my doorstep from mom. 🥲

—it when the kids outgrow wanting snuggles from their parents, but also it's very much a relief to be able to just sink into each other's arms at the end of a long day and feel the warmth of each other #AviLore

Auvrienne kept a rose bush at her cottage in the Shroud and it never stopped blooming even through the deepest winter

Auvrienne kept books on history and machinists while growing up in Ishgard, and books on plants and medicine while living in the Shroud. Both collections were meticulously maintained, organised by topic and then author. (And all of it kept well-dusted to boot.) #AviLore

One of my very first big boy jobs was as an IATSE stagehand and set designer.

I'm essentially building a 80x31 flat, cutting it in half, and putting it on hinges for easy storage.

Get ya a housepup who can do a lil bit of everything.

Auvrienne: spent so long being told she was plain or ugly that she believes it. She's actually a knockout when she cleans up a bit, but you'd have to get her to clean up a bit first. She's the sort to cut her own hair with a knife and dress down to avoid drawing attention to herself. #AviLore

Poor Auvrienne meanwhile would just look at you like a startled deer in the headlights before stammering she's only ever really had feelings for Stephanivien.

Auvrienne once had her diary taken by Emmanellain when they were 13 and 11 respectively—he'd thought it was a different book at first but when he realised what he had he proceeded to read a mortifyingly lovesick passage about Stephanivien out to the other high house children 🙃

the twins were eight weeks premature and since Auvrienne spent most of her pregnancy on bed rest Steph ended up stress-building Eorzea's first incubator as a "just in case" that ended up being very much needed

As for Auvrienne—I still haven't decided if she retires after Endwalker and nothing happens past that for her, but if not, Stephanivien is coming with her to Tural, and they've each got a baby strapped to their chests. (Simply I think they deserve to get set loose on the electrope.)

When first coming up with Auvrienne, I'd originally thought I'd ship her with G'raha before I got hit with the realisation that /she would have grown up across the street from Stephanivien/
