The suns ray shining through the cloud and hitting the water, gave such dram and the lady walking her dog, did she even notice. I nearly lost my fish supper to a gull that landed beside me.
I wonder if, they even noticed the drama of the beams behind them ?

So many of the sand abstracts on the beach the other morning, some really deep ones, which is unusual, but with the stress of life, my therapy, I keep wondering, should I buy a polarizer for these.

Catching the morning light dancing on the kelp. wish I had the long lens so I could have punched in tighter, to see, what was waiting to be discovered. Next set and all being well, will find me there.

A bit like the gull, i had a feeling of being alone that night, was after being at the hospital and receiving bad news. My solace, was my walk along the beach.

A wee de-stressing day up at Ayr, nice coffee and a tuna crunch sandwich at the Relief Cafe on the prom. Walked the Lang Scots Mile and back again over the sand.

Going through a lot just now, photography is my own therapy, these mornings on the beach and the moody skies, has been so perfect for me. Trying to catch the sand getting blown along the beach was a nice challenge .

Was quite nice conditions looking back towards Ayr Beach with the windy weather giving a nice well hitting onto the pier.
Just what the doctor ordered, was a little bit windy looking back towards Ayr beach from the pier head, few minutes later got shredded by hailstones.

I do not think, I have a style, I take to many different things, depending on the seasons, this year was always going to be, teach myself more about black and white photography. The coast seems to be where I will take these pictures for now and probably will be a winter project. I have few folders made, on is for square crops from Ayr Beach, that I hope to make a little zine for myself, but I also have for the wider scene, the last year, I have cropped a lot at 2x1 for a lot of my pictures. Photography keeps me grounded, look through the viewfinder and all the day to day noise is lost, what you see is all that consumes me. That is what photography gives me.
Black&White is very much a learning process for me, learning what I like and how to process, the coast is where I seem to head for my inspiration.

The latitude and longitude bearings on the wall at Ayr Beach, looked at it for years, tried taking it with the camera, but super wide on the phone managed to get it all in. Might try it one night and see how the streetlight illuminates it.
