In this week's #BMHAW25, I asked the government to:

Hold an inquiry into maternal racial disparities.

Fund research into medical complications affecting Black mothers.

Review medical training across the professions.

Acknowledge systemic racism in healthcare outcomes.

Thank you to everyone who is working to improve the health outcomes of Black women in UK maternity care.

It can be exhausting to relive past traumas and push the cause.

But through your hard work, we will build a system that works for every mother.
