By a country mile, the best dram of the night.

It's not quite enough for top marks but it's a very strong 4/5 and if it's a reasonable price I might well buy a bottle of this.

Finally!!

Rich, deep, sweet peat. A bucket of salt, a dab of lemon. Bitter grapefruit in between and all of it bonfied. This is like a tequila shot served next to a roaring bonfire.

There's a touch of oak, a hint of cinnamon and almost a hint of gin to this.

Really struggled with this line up, may be just where I am this evening, but dram 4 was definitely the best for me.

Dram 5 P: the spicy theme continues, but this time it's with an intense medicinal profile. Charred lemons and smoked fish. Kippers in butter. Some dried grass the the sugary taste you get if you chew bread for ages like in that old school biology experiment. #BlindDrams #BTC53

5R: some water sweetens the mose with lemon Refresher chews, while the palate also sweetens with maple syrup and lemon pancakes

5P: hot and peaty; barbecued lemons, spicy lemon chicken, lemsip, smoky treacle-cured bacon. Much better than first 4 drams, but still tastes quite young

An Ardbeg like nose on this one. Peat, but salty and coastal. Some faint fennel, a bit of pink germolene and a slight hint of hay

Only because this has been my favourite so far, this gets a 3/5.

Is this a peated grain?! It's a little bit heavy and a little bit lacking.

I'm struggling for much more to say than that.

It's really salty. There's some smoke in there but not a lot else. I get lots of vegetation on this one too.

There's also something synthetic here too. It's how I'd imagine a sweaty flip flop might taste after a day on the beach

N A peaty nose, lemon

P This is punchier, lemon, citrus smoke

F Lemon sherberts and spice which is quite nice

Dram 4: sweet and spicy. The smoke is there as the background note that holds it together. More meaty, chargrilled. Hot honey glazed BBQ. I have to say it's decent. #BlindDrams #BTC53

Dram 4: colour is very pale straw. There peaty-ness but not overtly like some. Maybe not peated but a peat cask maturation? Bandages, grist, mesquite wood smoked salt, apple sourz. Not bad. #BlindDrams #BTC53

There's a little bit of smoke here. Again though I'm getting garden debris. It smells like a neighbours garden waste bonfire 3 streets down...and I'll be honest, I kinda like it

I'm not convinced this is Scotch either. I'm struggling to score this one. I've enjoyed it the most so far, but not sure I can score it any more than a 2/5.
