Jungkook returns to see Yoongi, who has become quite emotional. Jungkook places his hand on Yoongi's cheek to wipe away his tears and shushes him softly. He asks, “What has you so upset? Come here”. They embrace in a hug and Jungkook explains that he won’t be gone for long and that his mission today is only a small check with Taehyung. He promises Yoongi that he will be quick. Yoongi sniffles and thanks him.

They calm down with a few giggles and a pout from Jungkook. Yoongi teases Jungkook by saying, “It’s hyung to you…. And you deserved it.” This is in response to Jungkook calling him by his name. Jungkook stands embarrassed and gives him a middle finger and replies, “Not anymore asshole…. WHAT!? Why?!”. Yoongi says, “You were spying on me and then didn’t say-”. Jungkook interrupts, “GOOD MORNING HYUNGGG…”. Time passes as the two talk about what Jungkook will be doing for the day. Yoongi tells him to tie up his long hair as the outside world is dangerous and Jungkook tries to tell him he will just find a new hair tie somewhere himself. Yoongi tells him to wait.

The barn was cast in darkness. Jeongguk sat in a square of light, shed from the waning moon through a window above. He dropped a red-stained bandage into the straw and wrapped fresh fabric around his thigh. Bobbing warm light mingled with the silver gleam at the door. Jeongguk pulled the hem of his robes down with a snap of his wrist. Lantern light flashed his eyes. “Eomma says you should eat with us!” Jeongguk’s hand rose to block the light. Peering past the halo of his fingers, the boy stood in the wide doorway of the barn. “I cannot impose. You should keep your food stores for yourselves,” he simply said. Jeongguk struggled to his feet and crossed the barn. He poked his walking stick into a pile of hay. “Perhaps only a night’s rest in here is what I’ll take of your generosity.” The warm light shifted and swung again. Jeongguk’s eyes simply scanned over the padded pile, planning where he would lay his head. “Appa said you might say that. Here.” In one hand, the boy lifted a bowl of steaming rice, as if he offered a relic to a king. The wooden lantern weighed down his other arm. Jeongguk’s stomach growled.
