Throughout #BasketballEmpire research, “intelligent” was linked to basketball & basketballers. A mid-1950s French National Institute for Sport doc stated it was a favorable sport for French Olympians bc “basketball is the most intelligent team sport…& we produce intelligent athletes.”

NBA Paris Game: An interesting aspect from #BasketballEmpire ITW process was that many were conducted over meals - esp in France. Rapport developed by “breaking bread” together helped nurture relations and provided time for discussion to range over many topics.
