Sitting on Cley beach this morning and what I thought was a bird landed just behind me.
Soon realised it was in fact a bat. Was very mobile amongst the pebbles looking for food. After 2-3 mins it flew off.
Can anyone help with ID please?
Thank you.

Back from a little science marathon in North America : presented data on bat antiviral responses at a Paratus Science symposium and at the #BatID meeting in Chicago, had a blast at the amersocvirology.bsky.social meeting and finished with a seminar at the CRCHUM in Montréal. A stimulating trip!
Thank you for #BatID for an amazing conference!

Was able to present my poster at #BatID yesterday! Thanks to all who stopped by! Super excited for another day of great talks!
Both Rita and Victoria (PhD candidates) gave fabulous talks at the #BatID meeting in Chicago. So proud. 👏🏾 #LZCI
The 2025 Bat Infectious Disease meeting is now on. Looking forward to several excellent talks, along with talks by Rita and Victoria from my lab. #BatID
Thanks to Dr. Cara Brook and her lab for organizing and hosting us!
